Stuart Pearson joined Manchester United from Hull City in 1974, with the club newly relegated to the Second Division. His goals fired United straight back to the top flight at the first attempt.

Every one was greeted with the same raised right fist, a celebration United fans still recognise, and in 1977 he scored the opener in the FA Cup final win over Liverpool.
