The Stanley Matthews t-shirt honours the Wizard of the Dribble. Born in the Potteries, Matthews played for Stoke from 1932 to 1947 and again from 1961 to 1965, helping them to the Second Division title in both spells. With the skill, speed and close control to beat any defender, he remains one of the greatest wingers the game has seen. He became the first footballer to be knighted, and incredibly, played top-flight football until the age of 50.
