In May 1968, Manchester United became the first English club to win the European Cup, beating Benfica 4-1 at Wembley. Level at 1-1 after 90 minutes, the final turned in extra time.

George Best put United ahead, collecting the ball, dribbling through the Benfica defence, rounding the keeper and rolling it into an empty net.

Beanies
