Casemiro arrived at Old Trafford in 2022 as a five-time Champions League winner and quickly became a leader in the United midfield, winning the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup with the club.

In May 2026 he played his final game at Old Trafford, a 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest. When he was substituted late on, the whole ground rose to give him a standing ovation.
