Gemmill eased his way past three Dutch defenders, breaking his way into the box, before lifting a left footed shot over the onrushing keeper. The goal helped the Scots to a 3-2 victory, but it wasn't enough to keep their World Cup dream alive. Gemmill's goal is still widely regarded as one of the greatest scored at the World Cup.?This is our tribute to that wondergoal and Ally's Tartan Army.

His pivotal save was enough to send Scotland to their first major final since the 1998 World Cup in France. The Scots had dominated in Belgrade but staggered towards the shootout after conceding a 90th minute equaliser to their hosts. The Tartan Army were down, but certainly not out. Marshall flung himself down low to his left and palmed away Aleksandar Mitrovic's effort. Cue the bedlam. Scotland were back in the big time after a 23-year absence! This is our tribute to the heroics of David Marshall.
